Member of Pioneer Family in Lincoln Township Succumbs
Ora Macumber, well known Madison county farmer and member of a pioneer Lincoln township family, died Monday night at his home southwest of Winterset. He was 64 years of age. He had been in failing health for some time, and seriously ill the two preceding weeks.
Mr. Macumber was born May 17, 1881, on the homestead of his parents in Lincoln township where he lived his entire life and where his death occurred. He was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Macumber. His father had settled in Lincoln township in 1853.
He was married April 24, 1907, to Ella Kennedy. They were the parents of three children.
He leaves his wife; the three children, Iris Macumber of Dayton, O., Mrs. Ruth Follmer of Stanley, and Avery Macumber at home. He also leaves two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emma Callison; and a brother, Elwood Macumber, all of near Winterset.
Funeral services will be held from the Ord church this Thursday at 2 p.m., in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial will be made in the Clark cemetery in Monroe township.
