Leona M. Jones, Indianola

Leona M. Jones, 73, of rural Indianola, died of an aneurysm Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the First United Methodist Church of which she was a member. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born near Patterson and lived in rural Indianola most of her life. She retired as a credit manager for the J. C. Penney store in Des Moines after 18 years there.

Surviving are her husband, Glen; a son, Glen of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Dess Lee Talimonchuk of Chicago; a brother, Joe Comp of Winterset; two sisters, Savilla Eddy of Mount Ayr and Mary Frey of Winterset; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
