PAUL EDWARD TUTTLE, SR. , Des Moines

Paul Edward Tuttle Sr., 62, of Des Moines died Jan. 19, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 24, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Brady Blasdel officiating. Burial was at Peru Cemetery.

Paul Tuttle was born Oct. 4, 1942, in Madison County to Charles O. and Margaret (Guion) Tuttle and educated in the Lorimor School District. A resident of Des Moines for most of his life, Paul had been self-employed in the vending and food service industry. He had been a member of the Isaac Walton League in Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles Jr., George, Bill and Melvin Tuttle; and one grandchild, Jacob Rietz.

He is survived by his companion, Donna Tuttle of Des Moines; two sons, Chuck Tuttle of Mankato, Minn., and Paul Tuttle Jr. of Des Moines; two daughters, Kimberly Jones of Littleton, Colo., and Shelley Tindle of Des Moines; three brothers, Thomas Tuttle of Peru, Robert Tuttle of Winterset and John Tuttle of Norwalk; two sisters, Blanche Dykes of Des Moines and Betty Bone of Roseburg, Ore.; two half-brothers, Kelvin Tuttle and Alvin Tuttle, both of Minneapolis, Minn., four half-sisters, Janet Moore, Joan Odel and Dottie Scharber, all of Minneapolis, Minn., and Judy Leedy of Des Moines; his stepmother, Doris Tuttle of Minneapolis, Minn.; and 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
