Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Jones, former Madison county resident, were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon, June 10th at 3 o'clock.
Mrs. Jones had died at her home in Bussey, Sunday night and funeral services were held there at ten o'clock, Wednesday morning and the body was brought here for further services.
Mrs. Jones was the wife of the late Douglas Jones, and following his death twenty years ago, moved away from here. She leaves three children, Amzon Jones of Benson, Minnesota, Arthur Jones and Mrs. Ellis Bush of Winterset. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Jones, former Madison county woman who died at her home in Bussey, Iowa, on July 9, were held in Winterset July 10 and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery. Mrs. Jones came to Madison county about 1907 with her husband, the former Douglas Jones. Following his death, she returned to Bussey to make her home, in 1919. She was the mother of Arthur Jones and Mrs. Elsie Bush of Winterset and Amza Jones of Benson, Minnesota.

Rachel Ada Jones, daughter of Sarah Jane and Cumberland Stephens, was born near Bussey, Iowa, May 31, 1861, and died at her home in Bussey, July 9, 1935, after a lingering illness at the age of 74 years, one month, and eight days.
She grew to womanhood in the Liberty community near Bussey, and was united in marriage to Douglas Jones, December 27, 1885, Mr. Jones preceding her in death on December 4, 1914. To this union were born three children whom she leaves to mourn her passing, William Anza Jones of Benson, Minnesota, Mrs. Elsie Pauline Bush of Winterset, Iowa, and Arthur Cleve Jones, also of Winterset. Besides these she leaves a sister, Mrs. T. E. Rose of Bussey, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, and a host of friends.
She was a loving and devoted mother, and in her passing the entire community has lost a precious friend. She was always Aunt Ada to all who learned to know her kind attitude.
She was a devoted member and supporter of the church. After her marriage she transferred her membership from the Liberty church to the Congregational church at Farnhamville, Iowa, and later to the Church of Christ at Winterset, Iowa. After the death of her husband she moved to Bussey and again transferred her membership to the Bussey Methodist Protestant church, where it remained to the time of her passing.
