Services for William Johnston, 61, Patterson, who died Sept. 15, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held at the Patterson United Methodist Church on Monday, Sept. 19 with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.
Born in Bevington on May 29, 1927, he was the son of Denver and Josephine Jarvis Johnston. Mr. Johnston, a lifetime resident of Madison County, was a warehouseman for 25 years and was formerly employed with Foreman Ford glass company.
Survivors include his mother of Patterson; and sisters, Mary Lou DeBok and Patricia Delury, both of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father.
