Hiram D. Smith, former resident of Winterset, died last Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd L. Evans, of Omaha, Nebr., with whom he had lived for the last 10 years. He was 91 years of age.

Mr. Smith was a native of Roseville, Ill. After leaving Winterset he spent many years as a rancher near Hillsdale, Wyo.

Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, Arthur A. Smith; four granddaughters, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were to be held at Cheyenne, Wyo.
