Lloyd Jeffryes, 83, of Papillion, Neb., died of cancer Sept. 25, 1999 at his home.

Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Council Bluffs.

Lloyd Jeffryes was born Jan. 18, 1916 to Arthur and Nellie (Powell) Jeffryes of rural Winterset. He married Leone Madison of Winterset on Aug. 13, 1938. They moved to Council Bluffs in 1949 and to Omaha, Neb. in 1970. He had resided at the Papillion Well Life Assisted Living the past year. Lloyd had been an electrician for Allied Chemical Company in Omaha for more than 25 years, retiring in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Shirley Honeywell (husband Gary) of Bellevue, Neb., and Sharon Hatterman (husband Michael) of Omaha; four sisters, Betty Classen (husband Leo) and Rose Fleming (husband Ben) both of Des Moines, Dorothy Roberts of Longmont, Colo., and Lenita Goodman of Lorimor; and one grandson.
