Services for Beulah Eyerly Thomas, 84, rural Winterset, who died Jan. 6, 1984, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Monday, Jan. 9 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers and Charlie Morrow officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County Jan. 17, 1899, she was the daughter of George Washington and Clara Bailey Eyerly.
She was a lifetime resident of the county, member of the First United Methodist Church, the Lincoln township Farm Bureau Women, and the Sixty-Plus Club. She was married to Eldon Thomas Jan. 28, 1919.
Survivors include sons, Leslie A. Thomas of Alden, Gerald D. Thomas and Donald E. Thomas, both of Winterset; daughters, Irene Thomas of Winterset and Loree Hawkins of Adel; brothers, Howard Eyerly of Brighton, Colo., Jack H. Eyerly of Palm Desert, Calif., and Lloyd Eyerly of Des Moines; a sister, Mabel (Mrs. Ralph) Shoemaker of Winterset; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great grandson, two brothers, 11 half brothers and two half sisters.
