Miss Blanche Welch, former Winterset resident, died at a hospital in Des Moines Monday, after an illness of ten weeks. Miss Welch had lived in Des Moines the past 40 years, and was employed at Younker's store for a number of years.

Funeral services for Miss Welch were held this afternoon, at Dunn's Funeral home in Des Moines, at 1 p.m. and the remains were brought to the Winterset cemetery for burial this afternoon.
