Wednesday, February 28, 1945David E. Bardrick, long-time resident of Madison county, died at his home south of Winterset last Thursday. He was 78 years of age.
Mr. Bardrick was born in Douglas township on Nov. 2, 1866, the son of George and Rebecca Lovelace Bardrick. His birthplace was the farm now known as the Ted Tilton place.
On Nov. 27, 1888, he was married to Savilla Snyder. They were the parents of four children, two of whom died in infancy. The wife and mother died in 1920.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Jones of Winterset, a son, George E. Bardrick, living on the home place. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Emma Wilson.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
