CYNTHIA THAYER, Winterset

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9, at Collins Funeral Home for Cynthia Alice Thayer of Winterset, who died March 6, 1982, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was 77 years old.

Born Oct. 24, 1904 in Madison county, she was the daughter of Thomas and Jenny Cunningham Harrison. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1922.

On Sept. 4, 1924 she married George B. Thayer in Winterset. Mr. Thayer died in 1980.

Mrs. Thayer was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, George Thayer of Altoona and Thomas Thayer of Des Moines; a daughter, Lois Hunt of Columbus, Ohio; and two sisters, Goldie Bohnsdahl of Winterset and Yvonne Slight of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Rev. David Livingston officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
