George Wolverton Died Last Friday
88 Year Old Madison County Resident was Native Missouri

George W. Wolverton, a resident of Madison county for several years, died last Friday after a brief illness. He was 88 years of age.

Mr. Wolverton was born at St. Joseph, Mo., on April 5, 1857, the son of Hiram and Nancy Wolverton.

He was united in marriage to Ellen Viola McDonald on March 25, 1896.

He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. Lucy Crowell of Westmont, Ill., Mrs. Maude Seiler of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Nelson Pritchard of Des Moines, Mrs. Ella Nitchals of Earlham, and Ray Wolverton of Winterset. He also leaves one brother, one sister, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday from Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of Rev. Henry. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery.
