Michael David Jackson, 43, of Nipomo died Friday, March 1, 2002, at an Arroyo Grande Hospital.

Visitation will be held today from 3 to 5 p.m. at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Marshall-Spoo Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Jackson was born March 7, 1958, in Winterset, Iowa. He had two daughters. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 to 1988. Mr. Jackson then worked for PG&E at the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant where he was a chemist and radiation protection technician.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Aleyda; daughters, Cassie Rae and Danielle Omara; and nine siblings; Tom, Richard, Robert, Connie Sue, Judy, Jimmie, Cathy, Pamela and Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Jackson.

Michael David Jackson, 43, of Nipomo, Calif., died of a heart attack March 1, 2002, at Arroyo Grande Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, March 4, at Marshallspoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach, Calif.

Michael Jackson was born March 7, 1958, in Winterset to Robert and Marjorie Jackson. Following graduation from Winterset High School in 1976, he was employed for several years by Fareway Stores. He married Aleyda Pena of Honduras on April 23, 1983, in Winterset. From 1981-1988, Michael served in the Navy. He then worked for PG&E at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant where he was a chemist and radiation protection technician until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Aleyda, of Nipomo; two daughters, Cassie Rae and Danielle Omara, both of Nipomo; five brothers, Tom Bass (wife Carol), Dick Bass (wife Fonda) Jim Jackson (wife Linda) and Dennis Jackson (wife Vicki), all of Winterset and Bob Bass of Atlantic; four sisters, Judy Finnegan (husband Dale) of Iowa Falls, Connie Weidman (husband Dick) of Griswold, Kathie Wass (husband Ron) of Clear Lake and Pam Dick (husband Mike) of Gowrie.
