Wednesday, November 22, 1944Funeral services for James A. Wright, former Winterset resident who died Tuesday at Waterloo, will be held from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home here this Friday at 2:30 p.m., in charge of the Rev. Floyd Tolby, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Wright, who was manager of the Firestone Auto Supply store at Waterloo, died from injuries received when he fell down an elevator shaft on Monday.
Mr. Wright was 38 years of age. He was born west of Winterset on Sept. 26, 1906, and spent much of his life here. He spent several years in Des Moines, and moved to Waterloo last April.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Betty, 18, Mary Jane, 15, and Arthur, 13, all of Winterset; his mother, Mrs. William Young of Winterset; and his sister, Mrs. Earl Driscoll of Winterset.
