Chet Ingram, Winterset

Services for Chet Ingram, 67, Winterset, who died March 10 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, were held Friday, March 13, at the Foursquare Gospel Church with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery and military services were held by VFW post 8142.

Born in Wellston, Okla., on Oct. 16, 1919, he was the son of Arthur and Zada Chase Ingram. On Jan. 8, 1943, he married Lois Armstrong at Yuma, Ariz.

Mr. Ingram was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a resident of Winterset since 1961. He retired as a mechanic at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., and also worked at Fawn Engineering in Des Moines.

He was a member of Gideon International and the United Auto Workers local in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife of Winterset; sons, James Ingram of Winterset and Dwight of Des Moines; a daughter, Sandra Burke of Napavine, Wash.; a brother, Darel of Drumright, Okla.; a sister, Joanne Bachtold of Owasso, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
