Wednesday, June 14, 1944Mrs. Lizzie Kilgore, former resident of Winterset, died at her home in Lorimor last Friday. She was 69 years of age.
Mrs. Kilgore was the former Lizzie Shearer, and was born in Madison county on March 31, 1875. On Feb. 5, 1902, she was married to William Kilgore. They were the parents of one son. Mr. Kilgore died a few years later, and she moved to Lorimor where the remainder of her life was spent.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Kilgore of Winterset, who at present is working at Fairbanks, Alaska, and was unable to get home for the funeral; and a brother, James Shearer, of Lorimor.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Watts Funeral home at Lorimor, in charge of the Rev. Edgar Thompson. Burial was made in the Hamblin cemetery.

Mrs. Lizzie Kilgore of Lorimor died in Union county on Friday, June 9, at the age of 69 years. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 11, at the Watts Funeral Home in Lorimor. Rev. Edgar Thompson was in charge of the service, and interment was made in the Hamblin cemetery.
Lizzie Shearer, daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Hartsell Shearer, was (born) in Madison county on March 31, 1875. On February 5, 1902 she was united in marriage to William B. Kilgore, and to them was born one son.
Mrs. Kilgore spent her married life in Winterset, and after the death of her husband, moved to Lorimor. When a young woman she joined the Christian church. She was preceded in death, besides her husband, by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her son, Glenn, who at present is at Fairbanks, Alaska; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Daisy Kilgore of Winterset; one brother, James of Lorimor; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
