Helen Hultgen, Winterset

Funeral services for Helen Hultgen, 74, were held Mon. March 22, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Lisa Klein officiating. Mrs. Hultgen died March 18, 1993 at Winterset Care Center South. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Chicago, Ill. on June 9, 1918 to Frederick and Marie (Tallion) Schmalzl. She married Francis F. Hultgen in 1940. She owned a floral shop outside of Chicago and then two years ago she moved to Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband and both of her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Maass of Winterset; a sister, Hildegard Curio of Justice, Ill.; three grandchildren, Scott Maass, Lance Maass and Alissa Lynn Maass of Winterset; and one great-granddaughter.
