GERALD TODD, Texas

Gerald Edward Todd, 79, died June 18, 2005, in Fredericksburg, Texas, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.

The family will conduct private services at a later date.

Gerald Todd was born April 4, 1926, in Harrison County, Mo., to Bert and Elsie Todd. During his lifetime, he worked in the printing industry for several newspapers in Iowa, including the Winterset Madisonian. Gerald later worked for Meredith Publishing Corporation in Des Moines before his retirement in Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Fern, of Texas; one son, Mark; and two sisters, Betty Ballantyne and Maxine Snethen.

Arrangements were handled by Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, Texas.
