Isaac C. Harper, a long-time resident of Winterset, died here on Wednesday of last week. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Harper was born on Jan. 24, 1866, in Des Moines, the son of John and Mary Van Horn Harper. Fifty-four years ago he came to Winterset as a young man, and this community had been his home since that time.

On Aug. 16, 1891, he was married to Anna Frazier. They were the parents of three children, Mary, Pearl, and Clark. One daughter, Pearl, died in 1922.

He is survived by his wife; two children, Mrs. Mary Hess, and Clark Harper of Creston; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
