HENRY LEE JACOBSON

Henry Lee Jacobson was born at Earlham, Iowa, May 1st, 1892 and passed away February 24th, 1940, at the age of 47 years, nine months, and 23 days at his home southeast of Earlham. His entire life was spent in and around Earlham.

He was united in marriage to Susan Elizabeth Harber March 15th, 1916. To this union were born two children, Pearl Elizabeth Allen of Dallas Center, and Roy Lester at home. She preceded him in death December 10th, 1926. Later he was united in marriage to Emma Jane Matthews who survives. To this union were born four children, Raymond Lee, age eight; Katherine Odessa, age six; Larry Eugene, age four; Mary Jo, age two.

His death came as a great shock to his many relatives and friends; caused from a heart attack, having never been sick until the last. He was a kind and loving husband and father always thinking of his family first.

Those surviving are his wife, the six named children, two grandchildren, Beverly Jean and Jerry Lee Allen, his mother Mrs. Sophie Lee Jacobson, two sisters Mrs. Olga McGarrigle and Mrs. Ellen Colles of Des Moines; and four brothers, Elmer, Harry and Charles of Earlham; and Arthur of Des Moines; many other relatives and a host of friends.
