John A. Diem, of Grand River, died last Thursday. About a week before he was attacked with erysipelas in the face and the day before he died he was up and around, feeling much better. He then rapidly grew worse, the disease going to the brain, and in a few hours he was a corpse. He was buried by the Patrons, of which order he was a member.
