Mrs. L. W. Lynch, a resident of St. Charles since 1901, died there Jan. 5 at the age of 67 years.
Mrs. Lynch was the former Leona Grace Vanscoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Van Scoy, and was born May 12, 1877, at New Virginia. As a young woman she moved to Woodburn, where she was married to Henry Hasslinger, Sr. They were the parents of one son.
After the death of Mr. Hasslinger she came to St. Charles with her parents in 1901, where she had since made her home. Here she was married, on Aug. 5, 1905, to L. W. Lynch. They were the parents of one son.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Henry Lair Hasslinger of Alhambra, Calif., and Homer Deane Lynch; and a step-daughter, Stella Lynch, who was a daughter of her husband by his first marriage. She also leaves two grandsons, Bobby and Jack Hasslinger, both in the armed services; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Fowler of Winterset.
