Services for Franklin Theodore Houston, 64, St. Charles, who died April 16 at his residence, were held Monday, June 26, at the Kale Funeral Home at Truro with the Rev. Don Jones of Winterset officiating.
Burial was at the St. Marys Cemetery with the Winterset VFW providing military rites.
Born in St. Charles on April 16, 1925, he was the son of Harry and Kathryn Luke Houston. He attended St. Charles schools and was an employee of Johnson Controls and a member of the plumbers and steamfitters union and the VFW post in Beaverdale in Des Moines. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Houston of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Brad of Denver, Colo., and a sister, Arnetha Bock of St. Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
