ARTHUR VANDERBURG Succumbed Sunday

Arthur Vanderburg, a widely known Webster township farmer, died at his home west of Winterset, Sunday, after a six month's illness. He was 70 years of age.

Mr. Vanderburg had been a resident of Madison county since coming here with his parents at the age of 3 years. He was born at Cordova, Ill., on Feb. 13, 1872, the son of Martin V. and Melvina Vanderburg.

He was married here to Maggie Belle Reese on Feb. 2, 1916. For the past 32 years he had lived on the Webster township farm where his death occurred.

At the age of 16 years he became a member of the Oak Grove church, later transferring to the Methodist church at West Star, of which he was a member at the time of his death.

Immediate surviving relatives are his wife; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Wilson of Wessington Springs, S. Dak., and Mrs. Jennie Wilson of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. Donald Cutler, pastor of the West Star church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
