Thursday, September 27, 1984OBITUARY OF JAMES RUSSELL HOSKINS
James Russell Hoskins, son of John and Edith Hoskins, was born June 18, 1905 at Waukee, Iowa. He passed away September 17, 1984 at his home at Ozark Acres in Williford, Arkansas. He had three brothers; George, Delbert and Wilbur and one sister, Carol.
Russell attended school in Waukee and Earlham, graduating from Earlham High School, he served in the United States Army during WW II and was an auto salesman in the Earlham and Winterset areas. After retiring, Russell and Ethel made their home in Arkansas until the time of his passing.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Ethel; brother, Delbert of Des Moines; brother Wilbur of Boise, Idaho and his sister, Carol Thomas of Earlham; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday September 21, 1984 at the Earlham Friends Church with Reverend Eldon Cole officiating. Organ music was by Irene Cole. Pallbearers were Robert Hester, Beryl Kenworthy, John Williamson, Russell Ralston, Claire Jones and Eugene Conrad. Interment was in Earlham Cemetery, Earlham Iowa.
