MARGARET ALMA HUGLIN

Margaret A. Huglin was born the daughter of George and Irene Fillman Huglin on December 13, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa and died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, Iowa on Saturday May 15, 2004 at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 2 days.

Margaret graduated from the Dexter High School and studied music at Simpson College for three years. She taught piano lessons and played the organ for church and weddings for many years. Margaret loved her animals and tending to the many flowers and plants at her home near Dexter. She was a caregiver for her parents and an uncle for many years.

Margaret leaves the following family to celebrate her life: sister Grace Verberg and husband Paul of Arcadia, CA; nephew Dr. David Verberg and wife Julie of Lake Oswego, OR; niece Joan Courtney and husband Kenneth of Vernon, AZ; niece Dr. Norene Walsh and husband Gary of Laguna Niguel, CA; and niece Jaqueline Rich of Lafayette, CA.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Norris.

The family wishes memorials to be directed to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
