Wednesday, July 12, 1972Ludwig Horn Dies at 75
Ludwig Peter Horn died last Monday at the Iowa-Methodist Hospital in Des Moines at age 75. He had been a farmer spending most of his lifetime in Madison and Adair Counties and was residing at Winterset at the time of his death.
Mr. Horn was born in Paton, Iowa in 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horn. He was married to Della May Baker at Greenfield in 1917.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Mildred Herman of Fontanelle, LeRoy Horn of Orient, and Kenneth Horn of Winterset, one brother, Claus Horn of Stuart, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Humphrey of San Francisco, California and Mrs. Genevive Stemm of Belvidere, Illinois and five grandchildren.
Mr. Horn was preceded in death by a son Melvin Horn, his parents, a brother Herman Horn and two sisters, Minnie and Ida Horn.
The funeral was held last Wednesday afternoon at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. George Thurman in charge. The burial was made at Canby Cemetery in Adair County.
