Gary Lee Carter, 53, of Casper, Wyo., died Oct. 20, 2004.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Bustard’s Funeral Home in Casper.

Gary Carter was born Dec. 29, 1950, to Wilbur and Margy Carter of Dexter. He was raised and educated in Earlham. In 1969, he moved to Casper, Wyo. On March 17, 1984, he married Jolene in Las Vegas, Nev. Gary worked as a welder in the oil fields for 26 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jolene, of Casper, Wyo.; one son, Joshua Carter of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; one daughter, Courtney Armstrong of Novato, Calif.; three brothers, Ron Carter and Randy Carter, both of Ankeny, and Dale Carter of Des Moines; a sister, Sharilynn Algreen of Dexter; and two grandchildren.
