LENORE J. VAUGHAN, Nevada, Iowa

Graveside services for Lenore J. Vaughan, 94, Nevada, Iowa, who died Feb. 14, 1987, at Story County Long Care Unit where she resided, were held at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Morrow of Macksburg officiating.

Born in Madison County on Dec. 12, 1892, she was the daughter of Wilson and Eda Weeks Vaughan. She was a retired secretary for the Navy department in Washington and had taught in Madison County rural schools.

For the past eight years she had lived in Nevada.

Survivors include sisters, Alice Clark of Winterset, and Estella White of Minneapolis, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
