KENNETH HOPE OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Death of Business Man at St. Charles Occurs at Age of 51 Years

Kenneth C. Hope, a well-known St. Charles business man for many years, died Sunday, April 30, in a Des Moines hospital. He was 51 years of age.

Mr. Hope had engaged in the hardware business in St. Charles for many years. He was a life-time resident of this county, having been born here Dec. 1, 1909, a son of Charles and Maude Keiffer Hope.

He was married at Princeton, Mo., on Aug. 29, 1936, to Lucille Roberts, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Bob and a daughter, Beverly Ann, both at home; and the following brothers and sisters, Roy Hope of Winterset, Eldon Hope of St. Charles, Mrs. Jessie Kay of Des Moines, Mrs. Ruth McMasters of Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Grace Nichols of Winterset, Mrs. Violet Eagan of Prole and Mrs. Fern Rockey of Des Moines.

He was a member of the St. Charles Methodist Church.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. W. C. Trembly and the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was to be made in the St. Charles cemetery.
