Cleda Shetterly Montgomery, 80, a former Winterset resident, died Aug. 9, 2004, at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, California.

Cleda Montgomery was born July 23, 1924, in Pleasanton, Kan., to Frank E. and M. Oleta Allen. She was a member of the Winterset High School class of 1944.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Norman Shetterly and Elmore Montgomery, and her son, David Shetterly.

She is survived by her children, Chris Shetterly, Debbie Shetterly and Mark Shetterly, all of California; two brothers, John and Bill Allen; a sister, Shirley Boulton; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
