Mrs. Myrtie Brock, a well known Madison county woman, died last Thursday at a hospital in Osceola after a long period of failing health. She was 55 years of age.

Mrs. Brock was born west of Winterset on May 28, 1890. She was the former Mabel George, daughter of Walter W. and Eugenia Bard George. She later moved with her family to Oklahoma, Chicago, and Springfield, Mo., before returning to Orient.

She was married at Orient, May 10, 1919, to Leon Lint. They were the parents of two children, Cleo Maxine, and Orville. Mr. Lent died in 1926.

On Sept. 1, 1927 she was married to Myrtie Brock of this community. Their married life was spent in Madison county. A year ago they had moved to a farm north of Lorimor, which they had purchased.

She is survived by her husband; the son, Orville Lent, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Cleo Maxine Gardner of Ft. Dodge; two foster daughters, Mrs. Maxine Cisna and Mrs. Inice Beardsley, both of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren. She also leaves her father, W. W. George of Winterset; and a brother, Lloyd George of Springfield, Mo.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Walter A. Samp, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

(Note: spelling of the name Lint, Lent was printed as in the Madisonian)
