C. C. McCLEEARY Died Thursday - St. Charles

Clarence C. McCleeary, a life-long resident of the Van Meter and St. Charles communities, died at his home near here Thursday, Feb. 12, 1953. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. McCleeary was born near Van Meter May 4, 1878, the youngest of the 12 children of C. A. and Mary McCleeary. He was married Nov. 14, 1906, to Francis McCloskey. They were parents of three children, Lenore and Paul, who preceded him in death, and Beatrice, who survives.

His early life was spent near Van Meter, but he had been a resident of the St. Charles community for 46 years. He had been in failing health for five years.

Surviving are his wife; and the daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Graves.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles Methodist church, with the Rev. Eldon Haworth officiating. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
