MRS. REED JORDAN Rites At Truro

Funeral services for Mrs. Reed Jordan were held Tuesday afternoon, August 14, from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro.

Mrs. Jordan died August 12, 1979, at the Marion County Care Center in Knoxville, Iowa. She was 70 years of age.

Dorothy Wilson Jordan was born November 14, 1908 at Persia, Iowa, a daughter of Raleigh R. and Belle McVey Wilson. She was a graduate of North High School in Des Moines, and of Drake University.

Her marriage to Reed P. Jordan was on July 16, 1932. She taught school at Hartford, Westside, Beech, Pleasantville, Runnels and Truro, all in Iowa. Her late husband was a former superintendent of schools at Truro.

She was a member of the United Methodist church at Truro.

Surviving are two sons, Jerold Jordan of Knoxville and John Jordan of St. Paul, Minn; and a daughter, Mrs. Jan Ankeny of Waukee, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Officiating at the funeral Tuesday was Dr. Paul Hann of Winterset. Burial was in Ebenezer cemetery.
