Freda P. Holliday, Idaho

Freda P. Holliday, 85, of Nampa, Idaho, and a former Winterset resident, died of cancer April 11, 2001 at home.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 16 at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Caldwell, Idaho, with Pastor Dan Wilson Fey officiating.

Freda Holliday was born Sept. 21, 1915, to Merle and Mable (Herrington) Huffman of Clearfield, Iowa. She was educated in the Clearfield School District. She married Dwayne A. Holliday on Dept. 19, 1942 in Joplin, Mo. In 1946, they moved to Nampa. Freda had worked in retail sales for numerous years at Stryan's, J.C. Penney's and Earl's Dress Shop.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a son-in-law.

She is survived by her husband, Dwayne, of Nampa; two daughters, Jacque Thiess (husband Russ) of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Vickie Shroll (husband Norman) of Nampa; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Holliday of Winterset; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
