Francis Lewis Ford, son of Charles and Treca Ford, was born August 21, 1884, and passed away at his home, April 27, 1945, at the age of 60 years, eight months and six days. Mr. Ford was born in a log house, in Jackson township, on the farm where he spent his life. In this community he went to school and church, married, worked his farm, and raised his family.
He was united in marriage, in 1915, to Myrtle Spencer. To this union two children were born: a daughter, Frances, and a son, Howard.
Mr. Ford had been in poor health for several years. Five years ago he underwent a major operation from which he never completely recovered. He failed rapidly the last few months.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his faithful wife, his daughter, and son; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Bill Algreen, and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives, and many good neighbors and kind friends.
Funeral services were conducted at Early Chapel Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. C. P. Shepard, pastor. Interment was made in Jackson cemetery.
