Thursday, January 13, 1944Funeral services for Rev. C. S. Gowin were held at his church near Fort Dodge, Iowa, Wednesday, January 5th at 10 a.m. and short services at 2:30 p.m. at the Welch funeral home in Earlham.
Interment at Earlham cemetery.
Rev. Gowin leaves to mourn his wife Ida, and one daughter Mrs. Nellie Olsen and two grandchildren of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, George of Van Meter; Arthur of Davenport, and Dean of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. James Billings of Earlham and Mrs. Hazel Bales of Redfield, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for the Rev. Charles Gowin were held at the Welch funeral home Wednesday afternoon and burial was made in the Earlham cemetery. Rev. Gowin was a brother of Mrs. James Billings, and a brother-in-law of Joe Brittain of this community. Rev. Gowin died at his home at Fort Dodge, and funeral services were held there Wednesday morning.
