Services for Belle Lorraine Hircock, 59, rural Winterset, who died April 3 of a stroke at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held today (Wednesday, Apr. 6) at 2:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery with graveside rites performed by the VFW post No. 8142 Auxiliary.
Born in Madison County June 24, 1923, she was the daughter of Harry DeWitt and Gladys Julia Morris Roach. She married Carl L. Hircock Oct. 15, 1941 at Bethany, Mo. Mrs. Hircock spent most of her life as a housewife and was a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Martin of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Harlan F. Roach of Cumming; a sister, Ione Lenall of Cumming; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
