WILLIAM H. WALKER Of St. Charles Dies

William H. Walker died Saturday, June 9, 1951, at his home near St. Charles. He was 60 years of age.

Mr. Walker was born at Brooks on June 18, 1890, and his early life was spent in that community. He was married at Lenox July 4, 1920, to Martha Seckels. They were the parents of three children. The eldest, William G. Walker, preceded his father in death.

After farming near Brooks for a few years, the family moved to Corning, where Mr. Walker served as a rural mail carrier. Before coming to St. Charles two years ago, the family lived on a farm west of Winterset.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife; the daughter, Mrs. Maude Chapman of Fontanelle; a son, Thomas Walker, at home; seven grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. George Walker of Brooks; a sister, Mrs. Carl Shell of Brooks; and a brother, Edgar Walker of Pacific Junction.

Funeral services were held Monday from the St. Charles Christian church, in charge of the Rev. Joe King. Burial was made in the Brooks cemetery, near Corning.
