Wednesday, June 23, 1943A six-month-old baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Raymond Farlow of Winterset, accidentally strangled to death in its home here Monday evening.
The child had rolled off the edge of the bed, and its head caught between the edge of the bed and the wall. The mother had to pull the bed away from the wall to free the infant.
The little girl's name was Joyce Ann. She was born here Dec. 18, 1942. She is survived by her parents, a sister, Marilyn Kay, and a brother, Gene.
The father of the child is working with the Sears Construction company out of Fairbanks, Alaska, and considerable difficulty is being encountered in reaching him with the news of the tragedy.
Funeral arrangements are being delayed pending receipt of word from the father.

Page 1, Column 6RITES HELD THURSDAY FOR FARLOW INFANT
Funeral services for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Farlow, Jr., of Winterset, were held last Thursday from Anderson’s Funeral home. The 6-months-old baby had died on Monday of last week.
The services were held in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
The baby’s father who has been working near Fairbanks, Alaska, for the Sears Construction company, arrived last Sunday evening after a hurried trip by airplane from the north.
