Page 2Death Of Carrie Hileman
A former Macksburg resident, Callie Mae Hileman, died Wednesday, June 15, 1977, at Ft. Madison Hospital. She was born October 5, 1895 at Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Willie and Louisa Morris. She was 81 at her death.
Mrs. Hileman was married in 1960 to Harvey Hileman at Donaldson, Iowa. Her first husband, Alva Hileman, died in 1956 at Grand River, Iowa. Harvey Hileman died in August 1974.
Mrs. Hileman lived most of her life in Grand River. She lived from 1960 to 1965 in Wichita, Kansas, and from 1966 to 1974 in Primrose, Iowa. She moved to Macksburg in 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Harold M. of Oklahoma; Gerald of Farmington, Iowa; Willie of Aledo, Illinois; five daughters, Mrs. Waneta Kriegel of Tama; Mrs. Bill (Cleta) Sanders of Macksburg; Mrs. Hubert (Eva) Fickel of Forrest City; Mrs. Mona Johnson of Keokuk; Mrs. Lonnie (Elsie) Gray of Revier, Missouri, and two brothers, Vernie Morris of Crescent City, California and Ernest Morris of Idaho.
Mrs. Hileman was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and two sons.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 18, at 9 a.m. from Barr Funeral Home in Ft. Madison with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. that day at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg, the Rev. John Ackerman officiating.
