Bain Rowe Hiatt, Canon City, Colo.

Bain Rowe Hiatt, 98, Canon City, Colo., died Thursday, April 19 in Canon City, Colo. Services were held April 23 in Canon City at Wilson Almont Chapel and burial was at the Lakeside Cemetery.

Born Jan. 6, 1886 in Madison County, he had moved to Canon City in 1947 from Peru where he had farmed. His grandfather originated the red delicious apple and Mr. Hiatt was a fruit grower at his Colorado home. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was married to Mary Bobert in September of 1910 at First View, Colo. She preceded him in death in 1962.

Survivors include children, Clifton G. Hiatt of Canon City, Morris W. Hiatt of Winterset and Leonard W. Hiatt of Mesa, Ariz.
