August 30, 1961Herrick Infant Drowns in Pond
Brenda Lou, 22-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Herrick, formerly of Winterset drowned Monday in a farm pond near Roland.
Mr. and Mrs. Herrick and family moved from Winterset several years ago, and have been living at Roland recently. While living here, he served as a marshall on the Winterset police force.
In addition to the parents Brenda Lou is survived by two brothers, Alan Dean and Calvin Lee and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Herrick of Dexter and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Luth of Lehigh.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Thursday from the Collins funeral home in Winterset. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
