Funeral services were held for James Wilford Waller, 81, Sat., Sept. 19 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Mr. Waller died of Parkinson's disease on September 16, 1992, at Care Center South in Winterset.

He was born in Leon on January 24, 1911, to William Thomas and Della LaRene (Purdue) Waller. He married Glow Vernice Schwartz on January 29, 1939, in Drakesville. He moved to Winterset in 1947. Mr. Waller was a retired farmer and also was a school bus driver and elderly services driver.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Don Waller of Booneville, Richard Waller of Lincoln, Neb.; three daughters, Myran Jackson of Gainsville, Fla.; Barb Croft of Perry, and Idella Spann of Council Bluffs; a brother, Harold Waller of Winterset; a sister, Pauline Schwartz of Ottumwa; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at the Booneville Cemetery.
