Services for Albert O. Henson, 72, of rural St. Marys, who died Dec. 27 at Des Moines General Hospital, were held Monday, Dec. 30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Martensdale. Interment was in the St. Marys Cemetery.
Born in Rutland, N.D. on Nov. 13, 1913, he was the son of Stephen and Myrtle Henson. He had lived in the St. Marys area since 1915 and had farmed until retiring in 1983.
He was married to Ruth Strable on Jan. 7. 1937.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Madison-Warren Ministerial Association. He was a former member of the St. Mary's school board and the Warren County Extension Service.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of St. Marys; one son, Larry of Martensdale; three daughters, Alberta Seymour and Betty Emehiser, both of Prole and Kathy Wildin of Winterset; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marvel Loomis of New Virginia, Mary Mae Hommer and Geneva Hoover, both of Indianola.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant grandchildren.
