GENE WALLACE Dies

Gene C. Wallace of Macksburg, passed away Thursday, August 30, 1984, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born July 14, 1927, in Macksburg. He was a lifetime resident of Macksburg and a farmer.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg with Rev. Stan Ganzel officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Claence Baker, pianist and Francis Platt, vocalist. Pallbearers were Raymond Brown, Walter Eyerly, Ralph Herron, George and Ralph Kirkland, and Dale Young.

Burial as at the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg, with the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home of Lorimor in charge of arrangements.

Gene Wallace, Macksburg

Services for Gene Wallace, 57, Macksburg, who died Thursday, Aug. 30, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Tuesday morning, Sept. 4 at the Methodist Church in Macksburg. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery. He had been a resident of the Bethesda Care Center in Winterset.

Mr. Wallace farmed in the Macksburg area all his life. He was born July 14, 1927 at Macksburg, the son of Ova G, and Oreen Eyerly Wallace.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Lou McKeon of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
