MRS. ETTA WALLACE Dies In Des Moines

Mrs. Etta Wallace, a former resident of Madison county, died Tuesday, March 8, 1960, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Velma Houghman, in Des Moines. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Taylor county June 29, 1877. She was married to L. D. Wallace and they made their home in and near Winterset and in Adel for a number of years. Mr. Wallace died in 1943.

Surviving are seven children; Lloyd of Des Moines, Ova of Macksburg, Delmer of Adel, Mrs. Cleo Penn of Van Meter, Pat of Trenton, Missouri, Don of Adel, and Mrs. Hougham of Des Moines. She also leaves 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Fisher Funeral home in Adel, in charge of the Rev. Robert McBlain. Burial was made in Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
