M. ADALINE WALLACE, Orient

M. Adaline Wallace, 81, of Orient died Aug. 10, 1999, at her home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Orient United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lyle Kuehl officiating. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery.

Adaline Wallace was born Sept. 19, 1917, to Lloyd C. and Lucy (Edwards) Peckham of Fontanelle. A graduate of Nevinville High School, she married Orlo Wallace on Sept. 1, 1939, in Creston. A homemaker, she resided in the Zion area before moving to Orient in 1995. Adaline was a member of the Orient United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Hobby Club in Zion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Stender of Massena; a son, Richard Wallace (wife Donna) of Orient; a brother, John Peckham of Macksburg; a sister, Virginia Kinyon of Creston; and four grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.
