Harold L. Henry, Davenport

Services for Harold L. Henry of Davenport, who died on Jan. 10, were held at the Weerts Funeral Home on Jan. 13. Burial was at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with the American Legion Post No. 26 conducting the services.

Mr. Henry was born in Madison County, the son of Mary Clark and Benjamin Henry. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1932. He was married to Annette Thompson in 1938. He retired from the Rock Island Arsenal, where he was a welder in 1974.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, was a past commander of American Legion Post 26, the Scott County American Legion, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 828, a past Chef de Gare, Voiture, Nos. 77, 40 and 8 and member of the National Association of Federal Employees.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Eleanor (Mrs. Paul) Bowe, Davenport; a son, Thomas of Moline, Ill.; four grandsons; and a brother, Dwayne of San Diego, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
