Lowell R. Hendrickson, Truro

Lowell R. Hendrickson, 82 of Truro, died of cancer July 18, 1997 at Community Care Center West in Winterset. Funeral services were July 21 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Marc Rucklos officiating. Burial followed at the Wallace Cemetery near Wick.

He was born to Orval F. and Merle E. (Smith) Hendrickson on May 18, 1915 on a farm near Grand River. He attended rural Madison County schools. He farmed near Wick prior to moving to Truro in 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, and one brother.

Surviving relatives include five sisters, Doris Legg and husband Dale of Des Moines, Lois Mason and husband George of Des Moines, Ilean Hayes of Des Moines, Edith Kerns and husband Gerald of Murray and Inez Green and husband Paul of Springfield, Mo.; three brothers, Rola Hendrickson and wife Carolyn of Des Moines, Francis Hendrickson and wife Beverly of St.Charles, and Dale Hendrickson and wife Anita of Cumming.
